Horses, dogs, cats, chickens, wild turkeys, peacocks, hamsters, guinea pigs, tropical fish, caterpillers, mice, wild raccoons, even a baby alligator and more; they have all shared their lives with me as pets and been my friends. I was a veterinary nurse for several years until I finally had to quit. All those precious lives I couldn't save became more than my heart could bear. I've never lived without at least 1 pet and can't imagine doing so. At one time I had 25 cats, 5 horses, 6 dogs and about 100 birds.

I would like to offer some knowledge and share some opinions such as why horses should never be forced to wear horseshoes and that anyone who owns a dog or is thinking about getting one should watch the "Dog Whisperer". I would like to share some stories and experiences, and introduce you to many of my friends, both past and present. Maybe I'll even tell you about things you never realized like that the lowly barnyard chicken is a fierce and devoted mother and will take on anything she thinks is a danger to her babies from a hawk diving from the sky to a 1200 pound horse grazing too close.

It is my intention to offer free animal stories and pet care tips at least 3 or 4 times a month which I hope will be both entertaining and informative. You will also find links to other sites which I think you will find interesting and some that are truly awesome! I am going to have a lot of fun with this adventure and I hope you do, too.
